Cyanotype
(from Ancient Greek κυάνεος - kuáneos, "dark blue" + τύπος - túpos, "mark, impression, type") is a 19th-century photographic process that requires no camera. All needed are watercolour paper coated with cyanotype chemical solution, sun for exposure, water for developing the print, and the object of one's affection. In my case, these are predominantly native grasses, flowers and plants.
If you would like to purchase archival digital art prints (copies of the originals) or my unique, hand-printer cyanotypes, please send me a request by clicking on the Inquiry button on the bottom left of the page or send me an e-mail with a screenshot of the print to: photo@anyachibis.com
I teach Extensive Cyanotype Workshops throughout the year for artists and photographers who want to dive deep into the practice. I occasionally teach Beginner Cyanotype Workshops for parents and children who want to try a new art medium in the summer and early fall months.
Please read more about them on my Workshops page.
